CHARLOTTE – Waltonwood Cotswold will host a holiday open house with cooking demonstrations, holiday activities and tours.
The event takes place from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the senior living community, 5215 Randolph Road. Anyone interested in attending the free event is asked to RSVP by calling 704-496-9310.
“The holiday open house is my first big event since I joined Waltonwood, and my team and I are thrilled to showcase our new seasonal menu with the residents, their families and the guests,” said Charles Lowney, director of culinary services. “We are committed to offering unforgettable dining experiences, and we hand select each season’s menu to suit the residents’ preferences.”
The holiday menu will feature wild mushroom macchiato “shots,” butter poached Maine lobster with persimmon coulis and lobster oil, and Chilean sea bass “en papillote” with caramelized endive and tarragon butter.
The buffet will include brussels sprouts with sun-dried cherries and caraway seed, fennel crusted roast rack of lamb with sauce Périgueux and more.
Waltonwood Cotswold offers food made with fresh ingredients from local farms and produce vendors.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for the local public to experience our warm atmosphere, meet our friendly staff and enjoy delicious food prepared by our exemplary culinary team,” said Nichola Johnson, executive director of Waltonwood Cotswold. “The holidays are our favorite time of the year, and our team and residents look forward to celebrating them with the local community.”
