CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte Rescue Mission hopes to collect 3,000 turkeys during its annual Thanksgiving Turkey and Food Box Drive.
The charity opens its doors each Thanksgiving Day to all those seeking food, comfort and hope.
“These turkeys are needed for our holiday meal and for 3,000 Thanksgiving food boxes for families in need,” said the Rev. Tony Marciano, president and CEO of the Charlotte Rescue Mission. “Our goal is to help as many as possible receive a hot meal and the hope of a new tomorrow from the troubles they are facing today.”
Charlotte Rescue Mission needs frozen turkeys from 12 to 15 pounds. They need to be frozen due to health and safety reasons. Donations may be dropped off at Charlotte Rescue Mission – Rebound at 907 W. 1st St.
