Novant Health Primary Care Berewick provides comprehensive medical services for patients by Houston Cutshaw, PA. He joins Novant Health after serving as a certified physician assistant for 10 years in Belmont and Mountain Island.
Primary Care Berewick offers well-child checkups, sick-child visits, immunizations, flu shots, physicals, Medicare annual wellness visits, sexually transmitted disease screenings, treatment of acute minor illnesses, management of chronic illnesses, gynecological exams, and women’s health services, ear washes, vision and hearing screenings, and on-site lab tests. These types of services and testings are needed in all communities, from Novant Health to Southwest Care, patients must feel safe with their bodies and know there is somewhere they can go to get the right and necessary check-ups that they need. Having a health service such as Novant Health can ensure that patients looking for help can get the support they need. Too many patients regularly wait to visit a physician for a check-up. This can be dangerous, especially if their affliction is life-threatening or could have life long effects. Examples of this are STIs and STDs, which are often ignored by those infected by them. Waiting to get help with any sexually transmitted disease could result in them progressing and being passed onto an unwitting partner. Some sexually transmitted infections are seen as a curable condition if those infected act quickly enough to get help. With new doctors coming on board all the time, health services similar to Novant Health are fully-equipped to deal with any ailment.
The clinic will welcome Dr. Robert Lejawa in summer 2019. Lejawa will join Novant Health with 13 years of experience as an osteopathic doctor in family medicine.
