CHARLOTTE – Duckworth’s Kitchen & Taphouse is testing a new Fish & Chips dish this month.
The dish is made from six ounces of Atlantic Cod, hand-coated with its house-made Heavy Seas Gold Ale beer batter. The breaded cod is then fried and served with lemon wedges, house-made remoulade and fresh-cut fries.
The remoulade is a combination of mayo, pickles, red onion, cucumbers and lemon zest.
“We ate a lot of fish and tested numerous beer batters before deciding on this recipe using Heavy Seas Gold Ale and can’t wait to hear what our guests think,” owner Rob Duckworth said.
The Park Road restaurant tests a new item each month to see how well it is received by guests and if it should be added to the menu. Try it for $11.99 from Dec. 1 to 31. Visit www.parkroad.duckworths.com for details.
