CHARLOTTE – Northwest School of the Arts will close out its 2018-19 season with the musical “Freaky Friday.”
Based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers, “Freaky Friday” tells the story of a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies for 24 chaotic hours.
“The themes of parental expectations, independence, love, loss, moving on, and empowerment in this musical are timely and universal for both parents and teens,” Director Corey Mitchell said. “We are all looking forward to sharing this new spin on an old story written by one of Broadway’s most prolific contemporary writing teams.”
Matthew Hinson serves as music director, while Emily Hunter handled choreography.
“Freaky Friday” will take place April 5 and 6 in the NWSA Theatre. Tickets range from $5 to $15. Visit www.NWSATAG.com to order tickets.
