CHARLOTTE – Jon Ronzka, of Sink or Swim Tattoo, will be among the more than 300 tattoo artists attending the Queen City Tattoo & Arts Festival on Oct. 26 to 28 at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Ronzka, as well as Stacy Smith of Tattoo Me, were recent contestants on the Paramount Network’s “Ink Master” series.
The festival will also host around 200 vendors, which will be selling items like clothing, body jewelry, original art and accessories. Attendees can also get a tattoo onsite
“With an Alice in Wonderland theme, this festival is intended to make the world of tattoos accessible and bridge the gap between the enthusiasts and the curious,” said Christian Moore, creative director of United Ink Productions.
United Ink Production hosts a seminar festival in New York for five years that drew upwards of 10,000 attendees, and the company moved to the Charlotte region in 2017, Moore said.
The festival features more than 20 tattoo contests, including one that attendees may participate in.
The show will be chock-full of artists creating art onsite, as well as activities and entertainment. Highlights include:
• Pumpkin-Carving: Brandy Davis, “Halloween Wars” contestant.
• Cartoon Art: Mad Hatter.
• 3D Chalk Art: Chris Carlson.
• MUNNY Painting: The Human Tree.
• Boba Fett Oil-Painting: Christian Waggoner.
• Meet & greet with T.J. Dillashaw on Oct. 26.
• Guitarist: JULESTHEWULF.
