Cut Gorman’s salary first, save middle school sports

I read with interest and concern the superintendent’s plan to cut the budget in the South Charlotte Weekly.

One question: How has Gorman cut his salary and bonus? Ten percent to 15 percent would be reasonable.

Comment: Cutting out middle-school athletic programs will hurt hundreds of young men and women that get a scholarship annually and that is how they go to college. Plus, it’s very important to keep them on the practice field and out of trouble. Middle school athletics learn the fundamentals and prepare for high school then on to college for hundreds as I stated.

I have heard of no other superintendent in North Carolina doing this. There  must be another way. I will be grateful for a reply.
