After leading the Charlotte Latin volleyball team to its ninth consecutive state title, highly decorated Hawk Eve Davis has walked away with her greatest individual honor to date.
Last week, the senior was named a first-team high school all-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Davis is one of only 24 players to earn first-team honors.
On Dec. 16, Davis will participate in the Under Armour All-America Volleyball Match & Skills Competition in Louisville, Ky., as part of the 2012 AVCA Annual Convention.
While leading Charlotte Latin to the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 3A title this season, Davis ranked first on the Hawks with 654 kills, 379 digs, 76 aces, 47 blocks and 43 assists.
The 6-foot-2 outside hitter has signed a National Letter of Intent with N.C. State.
