CHARLOTTE – JJ’s Red Hots will celebrate National Hot Dog Day by rolling out a $2 masterpiece, dubbed The National, featuring mustard, chili and onions.
The restaurant, featured earlier this year on the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” will celebrate the entrée on July 19, deemed National Hot Dog Day by the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council.
“We’ll treat National Hot Dog like we do every day, as if the hot dog ruled the world,” JJ’s proprietor Jon Luther said. “We like to experiment beyond the traditional favorites, but on the day when the rest of the world wakes up, we’ll put our best foot forward with a perfect combination of the most popular toppings and specially price it to appeal to all.”
The restaurant is at 15105 John Delaney Drive and 1514 East Blvd.
