CHARLOTTE – Publix Super Markets is distributing more than $380,000 from its Food For All 2016 fundraiser to 17 nonprofits in the Carolinas, including Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and Loaves and Fishes.
The campaign provides funding to programs that fight hunger and advocate for self-sufficiency.
“Thanks to the generosity of our customers – and the enthusiasm of our associates – the campaign is helping to make a difference in the lives of so many in the communities we serve,” said Kim Reynolds, community relations manager for the Charlotte division.
Customers supported the campaign by buying coupons for $1, $3 or $5 in December 2016 at checkout.
