CHARLOTTE – Family Dollar is donating $43,005 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America through its Buckets for Hope.
Through the program, Family Dollar donated $5 for each point the Charlotte Hornets scored during the 2016-17 season. The Hornets scored 8,601 points this season.
“We’re always looking for new and interesting ways to grow our partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America,” said Matt Martin, vice president of marketing for Family Dollar. “The Buckets for Hope program has allowed us to communicate our values with our Charlotte audience, give back to our home community and do it in a fun and engaging manner.”
The money will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs in Charlotte.
