Harrison Webb Jr.
Harrison Webb Jr., 84, of Charlotte, died July 20, 2012, at Wilora Lake Healthcare Center of Charlotte.
Born April 23, 1928, in Charlotte, Mr. Webb was a son of Harrison and Hixie McCoy Webb.
He graduated from Central High School before working for Duke Power Company. He later enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and operated a Gyro Compass on the U.S.S. Carpenter. He also served on the O’Banner.
He was a member of American Legion Post 235 of Matthews, and was a charter member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Webb; god-daughter, Robin Rierson Strader; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held July 26 at McEwen Funeral Service, conducted by Chaplain Keith Tinkham of American Legion Post 235.

Hilda Goldman, 86, of Charlotte, died July 22, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center Main.
Born Aug. 28, 1925, in Mullins, S.C., Mrs. Goldman was a daughter of the late Nathan Carliner and Bertha Fass Carliner Berry.
She lived in Baltimore, Md., and Dillon, S.C., before moving to Charlotte. Her family founded the congregation of Ohav Shalom Synagogue in Dillon where she was president of the Sisterhood for many years.
She was a volunteer at Maxton Army Base during World War II.
She was a member of Temple Israel and frequented the Temple Gift Shop, where she was honored for her years of service raising money for the synagogue.
She was a long-time resident of the Carriage Club in Charlotte.
Survivors include her daughter, Claire, and her husband, Paul Putterman, of Charlotte; son, Nathan Goldman, and his wife, Judy, of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren.
A funeral service was held July 24 at Greenlawn Perpetual Cemetery.

Carol O. Hogan
Carol Osborne Hogan, 68, of Charlotte, died July 22, 2012, surrounded by family.
Born July 13, 1944, in Conway, S.C., Mrs. Hogan was a daughter of the late Corbette and Leilah Fairclothe Osborne.
She enjoyed cooking and entertaining.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Joseph Hogan; sons Joseph ‘Chip’ Hogan, and his wife, Heidi, Jacob Hogan, and his wife, Heather; daughter, Dina Hogan Mueller; sisters Linda Jones, Mable McManus, Francis Richardson, Annie-Bell Hardee and Velda Lane; brother, Jimmy Osborne; and numerous grandchildren.
A funeral service was held July 26 at Sharon Presbyterian Church.
