Bright Blessings, formerly south Charlotte’s Birthday Blessings, will have an open house event April 10 at their new home in Matthews.
The volunteer-led nonprofit will give people tours of The Giving Village, where they are now located, as well as a close-up look at the programs Bright Blessings offers to more than 2,000 homeless children each year.
People also can take part in service projects while at the open house, including making bookmarks for children in the nonprofit’s Gift of Literacy Project. The open house also will include sand art creations, games, contests and more.
The event is free, though people are asked to bring a new package of pencils, bag of lollipops or a cash donation to be entered into a drawing for prizes.
The open house is from 1 to 5 p.m. at Bright Blessings, 608-A Matthews-Mint Hill Road.
