Philips Academy, a private, non-profit school for students in middle, high and post high school with complex language, learning or cognitive disabilities, will host a benefit concert Sept. 8, a Saturday.
The concert will present “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and Stravinsky’s “The Soldiers Tale” and will feature members of the Charlotte Symphony.
The concert will be held at The Dana Auditorium at Queen’s University of Charlotte, 1900 Selwyn Ave., and will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $40 for general admission, free to students with a student I.D. and $80 for VIP, which includes reserved seating and admission to after-party refreshments and a meet and greet with musicians.
