Upper School students at Charlotte Country Day School are presenting “Tartuffe: Born Again” Thursday and Friday, April 19 and 20, at 7:30 p.m.
The comedic play is an adaptation by Freyda Freeman from Moliere’s original “Tartuffe,” according to a news release. In “Tartuffe: Born Again,” Thomas Tartuffe is a televangelist who wreaks havoc on a 1980’s Pray TV station, where his “unholy greed leaves no soul unscathed,” the release said.
Students presented the play for the first time Wednesday, April 18, at the Gorelick Family Theater at the school, 1440 Carmel Road. The event is free and open to the public.
