Parents are invited to attend a free, four-week workshop at Alexander Graham Middle School called “Parenting Teens with Love & Logic.”
The workshops, sponsored throughout May by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Parent University and the Teen Health Connection, are designed to give participants practical skills for parenting children between the ages of 11 and 18.
The program is designed to give parents confidence, as well as allow them to establish healthy control without resorting to anger, threats or exhausting power struggles with their teens. The workshop series also includes the book “Parenting Teens with Love and Logic.”
The program will take place May 8, 15, 22 and 29, 6 to 8 p.m., at Alexander Graham Middle, 1800 Runnymede Lane. Contact Melissa Guarnaccia at firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Registration ends April 15. Space is limited.
