MINT HILL – Watercolorist Sharron Burns will be the featured speaker at the next Mint Hill Arts meeting.
The public is invited to attend her free presentation, “The Fun and Challenges of Painting Crystal,” at 7 p.m. July 31 at Mint Hill Arts gallery, 11205 Lawyers Road.
Burns is a contemporary still life painter. Her works reflect her love of still life subjects, plus crystal and glass, which she depicts with the crispness, freshness and transparency of watercolors.
Burns began exhibiting her art by winning a “Best in Show” in Haleiwa, Hawaii.
Locally, she has exhibited with the Silver Brush Society, Charlotte Artists Society, Matthews Art Guild, Guild of Charlotte Artists and Nancy Couick Studios and Gallery in Charlotte.
She is the past president of the Charlotte Artists Society, as well as a member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina and American Watercolor Society.
