Children’s Theatre holds auditions, announces season

The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is looking for two actors for the group’s traveling Tarradiddle Players.

The theater needs one full-time person and one part-time. Those auditioning should bring a prepared monologue from a children’s or young person’s play and be prepared to sing. This season will include two musicals, so a strong singing voice “will be a plus” according to a group news release.

Auditions are June 25, a Monday, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at ImaginOn, 300 E. 7th St. People can call Steven Ivy at 704-973-2839 to set up an audition appointment.

Meanwhile, the theater announced its 2012-13 season recently. The season includes “Psshh,” which runs from Aug. 14 to 23 and is for very young children; “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” from Oct. 5 to 28; and a number of others that include “The Secret Garden,” “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs” and “Pinkalicious: The Musical.”
